GaN (Gallium Nitride) material is used in the new 25W Super Fast Charger from Samsung to create a smaller design. It supports the PPS-enabled USB PD 3.0 rapid charging protocol. In comparison to the current Super Fast Charger, it also uses less energy. Samsung claims that its more recent charger uses only 5mW while it is inactive as opposed to the earlier model’s 20mW. Thus, it provides more power savings. Moreover, recyclable plastic was used to create its body. Therefore, the modern charger is more environmentally friendly.
